Blank Wall

Im sure that we all have a few black walls in our houses. I have one in Poppy's room. I want to do something to brighten it up. There are so many things that you can do without costing the earth. Here is some blank wall inspiration. Nothing here should cost more than £10. I hope I have inspired you!!

Sketch.Inc

You may have seen the Face Plates by Sketch.Inc. if you haven't they look like this

We have one in our house, Poppy loves it.
Sketch.Inc is a lovely home grown company run by Becky Kemp. All of her creations have come from her very own sketchbooks. Everything is hand painted and completely adorable. Not only does she create these lovely plates but she also makes these wooden dolls, door knobs, brooches, prints and sketch books.
Poppy is defiently going to find a wooden doll in her stocking for Christmas.

New Shoes

Its been the best summer so hot and lovely. I have been wearing nothing but sandals. I am now in shoe hell. My converse have holes in and I need something smart for work that isnt too high. 

I am in two minds as to day shoes. Do I get trainers or converse? And what about work!! I cant wear really high heels anymore, it really kills the balls of my feet after about an hour so I need something with a small heel. All the shoes I love are super high. I didn't want to spend the earth on either but was finding it impossible to get something I really loved. By chance I came across these on ASOS. I was also in luck as they were in the sale. What's not to love. I have ordered them and cant wait to see what they are like. I am only in the market for one pair and cant wait to choose. 

This doesn't solve my trainers vs converse problem and i will keep you up to date with what I decide.

School Bags

The Summer holidays are slowly coming to an end. I have managed to get all of Pops school uniform but have yet to get her a school bag. Ahhh where do you start!! I think if Pops had her way it would come from Disney and would feature princesses. I'm not that keen and have said that she is allowed a pink one but finding one is a bigger problem than i realised. As most places seem to have sold out!!
The ones I love are a lot of money and I am  a little loathed to spend £60/70.

Brita Sweden Rugs

I have been looking for runners for my kitchen and came across this company selling rugs and runners. They are plastic woven so are perfect for the kitchen or hallway. They come in a fantastic range of colours and patterns. You can get them from the scandinavian design centre.

Miniwilla

miniwilla is a fantasic company run by Sandra a graphic designer and mum. She make these fantastic pictures. They are for both boys and girls and are lots of fun. Her blogg is pretty good too!!

Biker Jacket

I got my first leather biker jacket from Top Shop about 6 years ago. It has been my staple jacket ever since. I have practically lived in it. This spring the leather tore and its now time to go on the market for a new one. Do I go with or without colar, boxy or slim fit!! Aahh the choices are endless. I really think its going to take a while for me to find the one. But here is a good starting point.

Caramel Baby and Child

This is a label that is beyond my reach and something that I admire from afar. But i have discovered their sale. They have selected sizes and what they do have isn't cheap but it is very reasonable considering the original price tags. I got Pops a dress that she can wear to parties. Its so lovely. Plants

When Pops was born I gave up on house plants. I had visions of her as a toddler pulling them over and eating them. There is no way I can have them with Taylor. He is far too adventurous and far to inquisitive. They wouldn't last 5 mins. We have a lovely shop near us called Botany its a florist and homeware store.  They sell the most beautiful small plants and cactus. They have given me a new love of plants. I recently came across these plant holders and really want them in my home. They are so stylish. They come from Hollys House and the are very reasonably priced.

Escape

Since Poppy saw an episode of peppa pig where they holiday in a camper van she keeps asking if we can go away in one. You can hire camper vans for holidays pretty much everywhere. I recently came across this company hiring them out in Kent.

There is definitely a romantic idea of being free to go from beach to beach.They have 3 Vans. The one featured here is Blossom it sleeps 4 ( one bunk and a double) They include lots of extras from duvets, washing up liquid and sponges, tea towels, cooking utensils, insurance, breakdown cover etc etc. Its very reasonably priced and i think the kids would really love it.
